School Violence Prevention
The School Violence Prevention Demonstration Program is a research-based curriculum and training program that provides students with opportunities to engage in high quality civic education and group participation exercises.
The SVPDP Program has been active in Arizona since 2001, and proudly administered by Diverse School Improvement Solutions, LLC. The program is sponsored by the Center for Civic Education, a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization whose mission is to promote an enlightened, responsible citizenry committed to democratic principles and actively engaged in the practice of democracy in the United States and other countries. Funding from the United States Department of Education is made possible through an act of Congress, via the No Child Left Behind, Education for Democracy Act: www.ed.gov/policy/elsec/leg/esea02/pg31.html.
